HR Strategies for a Supportive Summer Workplace

Jun 27, 2024

As HR leaders kick off the summer season, we’re excited to bring you an insightful conversation hosted by our Founder and CEO, Brandon Werber who is joined by Patrice Johnson, Director of Wellbeing Benefits at MGM Resorts International and Tamara Brown, Vice President of HR at TrueBlue. Tune in below for innovative strategies for creating a workplace that boosts employee morale and engagement this summer and all year long.

Embracing Pets in the Workplace this Summer

One of the ways we are embracing pets in the workplace this summer is by encouraging employees to bring their pets along when they travel for vacations or work conferences. As Patrice highlighted, planning travel can be stressful for both employees and their pets, particularly if the pets suffer from separation anxiety. By being accommodating and allowing pets to join their owners, we can alleviate some of this stress. This not only ensures that our employees can focus better on their work but also provides peace of mind, knowing their beloved pets are close by.

Tamara Brown from TrueBlue shared how their flexible work policies and pet care benefits have significantly impacted their employees. Since the pandemic, many employees have been working remotely, which has led to an increase in pet adoptions. TrueBlue supports this trend by offering affordable pet benefits, making it easier for employees to become pet owners.

By implementing these pet-friendly policies and initiatives, top companies are creating a more inclusive and supportive environment. Embracing pets in the workplace not only enhances employee well-being but also fosters a sense of community and belonging. As HR leaders continue to support our employees and their pets, we are excited to witness the positive impact on engagement and overall satisfaction throughout the summer.
